Emergency Procedures

We provide emergency care for critical illness or injury that occur during clinic hours but we are not a 24 hour clinic. Outside business hours emergency cases are referred to the:Pet Emergency and Specialist Centre, 1103 Dandenong Road, Malvern East – Phone (03) 9569 3677 or

We hope your pet never needs emergency treatment however, common emergencies relate to car accidents, heart conditions, poisoning and a range of injuries. Please phone our clinic if your believe your pet has an emergency and follow instructions given. Upon arrival, your pet will be assessed by one of our staff. Urgent cases take precidence of routine appointments.

We will aim to provide an estimate of the costs involved with your case, however, please be aware that with emergency procedures costs can vary depending on what services and treatments are required. Our veterinarians will keep you updated regularly during the course of your pet’s stay in hospital. In some cases we may need to refer to a veterinary specialist centre or 24-hour emergency facility.

We suggest that you make yourself familar with our after-hours arrangements. It’s useful to know this information before you actually need it.
